FAQ / clear answers for practical planning
Questions worth settling before the work begins.
A useful starting point for understanding how we scope, deliver and operate security and resilience work.
Common questions
Working together, in plain terms.
What does onboarding involve?
We begin with agreed scope, stakeholders, service dependencies and access boundaries. A discovery sprint establishes the current picture, prioritises risks and confirms what needs to be ready before transition. We validate telemetry and handover materials before steady operation begins.
Which technologies do you support?
Our work is technology-aware rather than tied to a single vendor. Engagements may include cloud platforms, identity providers, endpoints, network and hybrid infrastructure, logging platforms and business-critical applications. We confirm technical fit and access requirements during discovery.
How do you handle a suspected incident?
We follow the contracted escalation route, establish impact and scope, preserve useful evidence and coordinate safe containment with the accountable client contacts. We do not assume authority to make high-impact changes unless that authority is explicitly agreed.
What reporting should we expect?
Reporting is agreed to match the service and audience. It can include operational activity, material events, source health, open actions, coverage considerations and decisions required. We aim for evidence that helps teams act, rather than volume for its own sake.
Can you deliver remotely?
Yes. Much of our assessment, architecture and operational work can be delivered remotely using agreed collaboration tools and controlled access. On-site workshops or exercises can be arranged where they add practical value and are included in scope.
Do you conduct security reviews?
Yes. We scope reviews around the question you need answered, such as cloud configuration, identity controls, operational monitoring or recovery readiness. Findings are prioritised with context and practical next steps; reviews are not certifications unless a separate accredited scheme is expressly agreed.
How are recovery exercises run?
We select a realistic service or scenario, confirm participants and safety boundaries, and use a tabletop, technical restore or combined exercise suited to the goal. We record what worked, what assumptions were exposed and who owns follow-up actions.
How do you work with our internal teams?
We work alongside IT, engineering, risk and leadership stakeholders with agreed decision rights. Existing tools and processes are used where practical. Knowledge transfer, runbooks and clear handovers are part of delivery rather than a separate afterthought.
Can we engage you for one project instead of a managed service?
Yes. We can support a defined review, discovery sprint, engineering task, incident-readiness exercise or recovery engagement. A managed operating relationship is only proposed when it fits your requirements and responsibilities.
What response times or service levels do you offer?
Service hours, response targets, update cadence and escalation arrangements depend on the specific contract and service schedule. They are agreed before managed operation begins; this website does not imply a particular service-level commitment.
How do you handle client data?
We request only information necessary for the agreed work and use it for delivery, security and administration purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Access is limited to authorised personnel and contractual requirements. Please do not send passwords or secrets through general enquiry forms.
Do you work with regulated organisations?
We support organisations with assurance and operational evidence needs, including regulated environments. We can help map control evidence and improve processes, but do not make regulatory determinations or guarantee compliance on a client’s behalf.
How are changes coordinated?
Planned changes follow the approval, communication and validation process agreed for the relevant service. We document ownership, impact, dependencies, timing and rollback considerations, and escalate material risk before work proceeds.
Need a specific answer?
Bring us the context. We will be precise about what we can do.
For contract-specific support or escalation terms, use your agreed service documentation and contacts.
